The new Samsung C3510 Genoa

The new Samsung C3510 Genoa

The Samsung C3510 Genoa is an oval shape much like other Genio devices. It's an attractive rounded and smooth handset with a 2.8 inch TFT touch screen with 320 x 240 resolution and supporting up to 256,000 colours. The touch screen delivers visual feedback, though is slightly slow in places. The C3510 includes the Samsung Smart Unlock feature which allows the phone to be unlocked and a pre-determinded application or menu item can be opened. Navigating around the menu is easy and widgets allow you to customise the screen contents as needed. Applications that are frequently used can be added to these widgets. The user can have up to three home pages incorporating information required.
The CS510 is a lightweight and compact handset that measures just 104 mm heigh, 55 mm wide, 13 mm thick and weighs just 92 gramms. The handset includes Genoa supports DNSe (Digital Natural Sound Engine) for great music quality and a 3.5 mm audio jack which allows you to use your own headset. The Genoa doesn't have much internal memory at just 30MB, however this can be expanded to up to 8GB using a MicroSD Memory Card which will give ample storage for hundreds of music tracks and images. This phone has RDS support and Stereo FM Radio. An FM recorder allows you to record from the radio to your handset. It also supports MP3, WMA and AAC and the media player also supports MP4, H.263 and H.264 video files.

Other features on the Samsung C3510 Genoa which will definitely appeal to the young target market is the Social Networking capability which gives live updates straight to your handset from sites such as Facebook, Twitter and MySpace. Accessing these sites is easy with just the one touch of a button. It has an integrated 1.3 Megapixel digital camera, however lacking in quality and is best used for just capturing occasional snapshots. Videos can be captured at up to 15 frames per second but again the quality is not great. This handset does not provide 3G or HSDPA but offers Class 10 GPRS and EDGE connectivity. Bluetooth 2.1 is included as is stereo Bluetooth transmission. Links and widgets can be customised to display and hold any information you would prefer to see.
This is a great handset for it's price and offers many features which will appeal to it's target audience. The Samsung C3510 Genoa is the new addition to Samsung's low end, prepay mobiles and being aimed at young users, the C3510 an ideal first prepay handset.
The Samsung Jet Chrome is also available now.
